Joel's love for Country Pond runs deep. He's spent his entire life on its shores, swimming, boating, and fishing since he was a child. His family moved to Newton and bought a house on Country Pond in 1974, where his parents still reside today. His wife Michele also has deep roots on the lake, who’s family purchased two camps in 1917, now owned by Joel and Michele, were you will find them most weekends with daughter Kate enjoying the lake and the world’s most beautiful sunsets.
For nearly 30 years, Joel has thrived in the high-tech industry, holding leadership roles in sales, marketing, and product management. He's grown and managed businesses to become market leaders, and currently serves as a vice president of product management for a software and cloud services company. He's eager to put his expertise to work for the Country Pond Lake Association.
Personally witnessing, yearly high-water flooding, cyanobacteria blooms and invasive species challenges threatening the lake and its water quality, Joel is determined to do everything he can to protect country pond and preserve it as a resource and recreational area for future generations. He believes his experience and dedication will be valuable assets to the association in its mission to protect the lake.
