Country Pond is a 306 acre water body located in the towns of Kingston and Newton, NH. Water from Country Pond flows via the Pow Wow River to the Merrimack River. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery with many species of fish plus other wildlife including loons, turtles, beaver and even bald eagles. It has an average depth of 8 feet and a maximum depth of 31 feet. Country Pond is ideal for many recreational activities including fishing, swimming, kayaking, wakeboarding and jet skiing. There is a public boat ramp and town beach in Newton. There are also three private campgrounds and two youth camps on the lake.
