For 30 years, Liz has lived and grown up on Country Pond. Liz and her family enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, and have been a part of the Wilders Grove community since 1989. Not only has Country Pond been home to Liz for so long but her friends, extended family, and colleagues find this lake community a welcoming vacationland that is visited routinely. From the Fourth of July celebrations to skating around the lake to simply gazing into the beautiful sunset, she has engaged in all the lake has to offer. Memories and traditions made on Country Pond instilled the love of outdoors and community in Liz from a young age.
Liz attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2012 to 2017 where she earned a Bachelor of Science and a Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering. Among her many life accomplishments, in 2021 Liz became a Professional Engineer then in 2022 hiked the entire Appalachian Trail. Liz is currently working as a Geotechnical Engineer and enjoying Country Pond with her family, friends, and dog year-round. She has 10 years’ experience working on civil engineering projects including the I-95 Whittier Bridge Replacement over the Merrimack River and the Red Line Orange Line Improvements in Medford, MA. She also has multiple projects collecting, classifying, and logging soil and rock samples along the east coast.
Liz’s education and experience directly correlate with the CPLA goals and overall protection of all bodies of water in NH. She has seen how poor water quality can directly affect the health of animals and people. With the proper measures taken and support of our neighbors, she believes lakes such as Country Pond can be clean and safe year-round. Country Pond Lake Association is an organization that teaches members of the community the reality of their properties and wellbeing.
