Country Pond is much more than the lake that I live on, it is part of who I am. I have been coming to Country Pond since the 80's when one of my best friends bought a house in the Grove. I always loved to spend weekends and vacations at the lake trying new water sports, swimming, sunning and enjoying being with friends on the lake. In 2000, I unexpectedly lost my friend, and I moved to Country Pond to help raise my Godchildren, who are my pride and joy. In 2003 I met my husband and his 2 daughters, and in 2004 we bought our own home on the lake just down the street. All of the kids have enjoyed summers filled with waterskiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, boating, swimming and winters skating, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. I have enjoyed watching them grow and excel in different sports over the years.
In my professional life I have worked in Research Administration for over 25 years supporting great programs such as the one that has funded our grant for Country Pond. I am currently working at UNH where amazing research on how to improve the health and mitigate problems facing waterbodies and watersheds has been underway for many years. I very much look forward to my new role as secretary of CPLA and being part of the solution!
The lake has been such an important part of all of our lives, and is such a special place, where kids can be kids and adults stay young at heart! As a passionate lake enthusiast, I am dedicated to working to improve and maintain the lake’s health so that it continues to be a place we can all enjoy for generations to come.
